Master Tiler

Shower Stall Simulator

Full 60″ × 36″ stall, three walls, curb, and a sloped pan. Materials live on the drop cloth — pick them up, measure, score-and-snap backer, roll a RedGard-style membrane, mix thin-set, cut edge rips on the wet saw, then silicone every change-of-plane.

  1. Tear-out → framing. Measure the 60″ back wall (tape, two clicks)
  2. Score-and-snap the 24″ backer rip; hang + screws; hole-saw the valve; tape seams
  3. Roll liquid membrane pink → wait until it cures red (board is not waterproof)
  4. Snap a ledger one tile above the curb. Mix thin-set (paddle, slake, remix)
  5. Comb ≥95% at ~45°. Set from the ledger up. Rip edges at the wet saw
  6. Grout at 45°, wipe haze, 100% silicone at curb and inside corners
